Following feedback from the consultation, we have listened to your feedback and as requested have published the Traffic Model Report which provides justification for the proposed improvements along A6027 De Havilland Way.
Report Overview:
A number of committed developments were identified by Bolton Council and have been included as part of the traffic modelling excercise. The modelling report looks at two scenarios;
1) Without the proposed improvements; and
2) With the proposed improvements.
In summary, the report shows that the proposed improvements will ensure that the junctions along De Havilland Way can continue to function and meet the demands from forecast additional traffic from known planned developments. Overall the implementation of traffic lights provide improved management of traffic flows and significant reduction in delays on approaches to these junctions.
The junctions will also provide significant improvements for people walking and cycling, by providing full LTN 1/20 compliant crossing facilities at these junctions.
